Understanding the cellular and molecular functions of neural systems is an essential requirement for comprehensive understanding of animal behavior, evolution, and population ecology in complex systems. SOEST researchers, in close cooperation with colleagues across units within the University, study the neurobiology, physiology, and adaptive behavior of diverse species in both marine and terrestrial ecosystems.
