The UH Marine Center is located at Pier 35 in Honolulu Harbor. Facilities at the pier include the Marine Center offices, laboratories that support marine operations and research, 25,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, 800’ of pier space for large vessels and 100,000 sq. ft. of outside storage space for containers and weatherproof equipment. An additional 65,500 sq. ft. of outside storage space is available at the Marine Center’s Sand Island yard. This facility is located adjacent to the Honolulu Community College’s Marine Education Training Center (METC) at 10 Sand Island Parkway. The UH Marine Center also has access to a small boat dock at METC, which is well suited for personnel transfers and equipment loading.
