Makai Ocean Engineering is a local high tech company, based in Waimanalo, HI for nearly 50 years, that has been a global pioneer for several technologies. In this lecture Makai will present on its work within the submarine cable, ocean renewable energy, and subsea research and development industries. Makai will also share its recent work on the development of an offshore seaweed farm design, and involvement in the construction of the world’s largest desalination plant.
