Visiting Scientist and Post-Doctoral Programs

The CIMAR visiting scientist program provides opportunities for CIMAR and UH researchers to augment existing projects as well as develop new ones. CIMAR funding is available to support visits by nationally and internationally recognized scientists to pursue research directly related to any of CIMAR’s eight research themes. Funding is also available to support post-doctoral fellows. Applicants must be sponsored by either CIMAR or UH researchers. All appointments are limited duration, typically weeks and possibly months, depending on proposed activity and availability of funds. Recipients are chosen on the basis of their past research accomplishments and the recommendations of their University of Hawai’i or CIMAR sponsors. For more information, and to submit candidates for consideration, contact the CIMAR Director, Dr. Douglas S. Luther, dluther@hawaii.edu.
