Exchange Opportunities

Two universities, one shared purpose: protecting our oceans.

This collaboration unites two Uehiro research units, the Uehiro Center for the Advancement of Oceanography (UC•AO) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Department of Oceanography and the Uehiro Laboratory for Oceanography (ULO) at the Hokkaido University Graduate School of Fisheries Sciences, to exchange knowledge, skills, and fresh ideas for climate literacy and ocean conservation. By learning from one another and working together, this partnership creates opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty to take part in innovative projects that safeguard marine life and promote sustainable futures. Together, we aim to spark action, inspire collaboration, and make a lasting impact on the health of our oceans.
