UH Marine Center Internship

Soon, the Marine Center will be offering internships. Interns will work to support the Marine Center on shore and aboard the research vessel R/V Kilo Moana. The program will challenge students to learn new skills in electronics, engineering, computer science, technology, and field sampling. UNOLS MATE Internship

The MATE Center and the University National Oceanographic Laboratory System (UNOLS) offers internships yearly to train new marine technicians for the US Academic Research Fleet. The MATE internship focuses on technology and scientific support of marine research. Internship projects vary from one expedition to another and correspond to the expedition objectives set by the lead scientists and technicians. Previous interns have worked to support science projects ranging from chemical oceanography, marine biology, GIS/bathymetric surveys (seafloor mapping), geological studies, work with ROVs and much more!
