BREAKTHROUGHS: UEHIRO-OCEANOGRAPHY YEARLY SYMPOSIUM (BUOYS)

Breakthroughs: Uehiro-Oceanography Yearly Symposium, or BUOYS, is a graduate student-run symposium that provides an opportunity for Oceanography Department graduate students across each division to present their work to the departmental community and members of the public. This year, the symposium featured a professional development workshop with NOAA Fisheries, a community workshop on Intersectionality, and a poster session including work from undergraduate students and postdocs from the Department. The event took place February 20th and 21st. Doors opened at 8:30 am with talks commencing at 9:00 am.
