SEMINAR: Craig Nelson: “Locally entangled science: Experiences from Red Hill”
In Person Only!

For more than a year a small cadre of UH researchers have sought to bring academic expertise in analytical chemistry to address public questions surrounding the Nov 2021 fuel leak into the Red Hill Shaft water supply. This talk will not shed much light on either these events or the outcomes, instead seeking to illustrate the experiences of well-intentioned scientists in a novel situation navigating the complexities of water, bureaucracies, emotions and politics when doing science in the context of a crisis.
