The REO speed wagon was the ancestor of the pickup truck. The F-series had numerous models and options. The original model in 1917 had a full length canvas top. The 1925 model had a 6-cylinder engine. The speed wagons served as delivery, fire, tow, and dump trucks, as well as ambulances and hearses. The chassis basically stayed the same whether the model was the pickup, panel, or passenger bus variation. It was highly regarded for its power, durability, and power. 3/4 ton |
