Artifact Condition: |
Vehicle had pneumatic disc wheels. Appears to have had a front and back seat both fully cabbed with a trunk at the rear just forward and above the fuel tank which can be clearly seen. The sides to the cars cab are lying on the seabed with portions of the uprights still erect on the car. The front windshield is fully intact with some glass, but has fallen forward to where the engine would be and appears missing. It appears to have bracketing for a rear luggage rack. There is a section of net on the left rear wheel. The rear window lies on the seabed below the fuel tank. Door windows are almost square in shape. |

Additional Information: |
The opera had two rear jump seats and five windows. Later versions would not have a trunk and would extend fully to the rear. This vehicle was one of a couple encountered when the "Truck Graveyard" was first located. It was also seen and surveyed in the second visit to this site of about 8-12 vehicles in a single area. *3000 lbs |
