Artifact Condition: |
Vessel is broken in half. The bow is severed about 12' back and has inverted and twisted perpendicularly to the rest of the boat. The after engine section has also fractured causing the pilot house and the forward end to topple forward. Much of the sides are also decaying and crumbling off to the sides and in to the interior. The front loading gate is present. The appears be some writing on the stern, but the video is not close enough to see if it's legible. |

Additional Information: |
LCM-3's are 50' in length. LCM-6's are largely identical except 56' in length. This vessel appears to be closer to 50' and would be more likely from the earlier WW II era boats like most of the artifacts in this area. The Mk II was 45'. Only 147 were built. |
