GES student won Best Presentation by an early career scientist

Jennifer Wong-Ala was honored for her presentation, “The influence of life history variability on population connectivity: Development and application of a trait-based biophysical model of individuals,” at the 2015 International Council for the Exploration of the Sea Annual Science Conference in Copenhagen. The award citation said, “The presentation had a clear message, with good graphics, and was very well presented. The work presented was engaging and holds interest for researchers working on the subject.”

Jenn recognizes the critical support of C-MORE, JIMAR, her mentor Dr. Anna Neuheimer), Kapiolani Community College STEM Program, and the many others that have played an important role in her development and progress.
