Hanauma Bay Talks on Hiatus

For over 20 years, the University of Hawai‘i Sea Grant College Program’s Hanauma Bay Education Program organized the weekly seminar series that featured leading researchers, environmental leaders, natural resource managers, and cultural practitioners throughout Hawai‘i. It had established a loyal following and expanded into an online platform during the pandemic.

Although the talks will be on hold for six months, please continue to view the extensive library of recorded talks. Popular topics include: native bird research, coral reef conservation, sea turtles, sharks, marine mammals, Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, and community conservation efforts. The past seminars will continue to be available via the Hanauma Talks YouTube Channel and the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program website, and the seminar series will resume when circumstances allow.
