Dr. Ryan Longman presented on the PDKE to the Commission on Water Resource Management at their monthly meeting. The presentation was recorded and can be found here. Ryan’s presentation on the PDKE runs from approximately the 10 to 30 minute mark. An approximately 30 minute question and answer session follows the presentation.
November 18-19, 2022
In November, a team of PDKE researchers attended the Hawai’i Cattlemen’s Council Annual Convention on Hawai’i Island to demo several new decision support tools and climate resources for ranchers. They gave a short presentation in the morning and then manned an interactive booth over the course of the day to demonstrate our online tool the Hawai’i Rangeland Information Portal (H-RIP). They also had a display of one of the Climate Change Climate Variability and Drought (CCVD) portfolios blown up for folks to get a closer look at. The team also handed out factsheets from one of the PDKE’s pilot projects.
