GES graduate helps Hawai’i’s reef managers and keiki

Global Environmental Sciences graduate Tina Huynh-Nguyen researched an invasive species of seaweed for her thesis project with the help of Celia Smith, UH Manoa’s new School of Life Sciences Professor and marine botanist. Together, they discovered valuable information on the alga which will help Hawai’i’s marine resource managers better protect our reef ecosystems.
