Dr. Cherubini has substantial numerical modeling experience, including rewriting sections of MM5  code.  She has worked at the European Medium Range Forecast Center (ECMWF) in England. Tiziana's education includes a PhD in Geophysics in February 2001 under Prof. Guido Visconti at the University of L'Aquila in Italy.

The topic of the PhD dissertation was verification of the precipitation forecasts produced by three different forecasting systems: the ECMWF T319 deterministic model, the ECMWF Ensemble Prediction System, and the MM5. Tiziana received her Master's degree in June 1997 in Physics at
University of Rome (mark: 110/110 with honors).

The main topic of her master thesis was a sensitivity study of the different parameterization schemes of the moist thermodynamic processes including implementation of a new convection scheme in MM5.
