GG 460 – Geological Remote Sensing |

GG460 was invented in 1999 by Scott Rowland and Luke Flynn,
with support from the Hawai‘i Space Grant Consortium. Rob Wright took over Luke’s duties in
2003. GG460 covers the physical
relationships that allow, and the practical uses of, satellite and airborne
remote sensing for geological applications.
Except in 1999, when we had no money, we have gone to Hawai‘i to ground-truth
final-project maps, and to study thermal remote sensing sources (e.g., active
