Huliāmahi
Our student group aims to bring about change for a welcoming environment in our department and in the geosciences community.
Through Huliāmahi, we have:
- Hosted monthly seminars focused on topics like indigenous knowledge and sexual harassment
- Created a school-wide speed-mentoring event
- Generated a resource road map for resolving conflicts
- Investigated department demographics and encouraged the university-wide data collection system to add metrics
- Drafted a field trip safety plan
- Held volunteer community work days
Resources
