Huliāmahi
This student group works to strengthen the department community and improve the student experience in Earth Sciences.
Through Huliāmahi, we have:
- Hosted monthly seminars on topics relevant to geoscience, professional development, and department life
- Created a school-wide speed-mentoring event
- Generated a resource road map for resolving conflicts
- Investigated department demographics and encouraged the university-wide data collection system to add metrics
- Drafted a field trip safety plan
- Held volunteer community work days
