I am a Professor in the Department of Geology

and Geophysics and I am on the graduate faculty

in the Department of Oceanography as well as

G&G. My primary research focus is stable isotope

biogeochemistry and I am in charge of the

Stable Isotope Biogeochemistry Laboratories.

· Controls on Alkenone Unsaturation and the Ecology of Alkenone-Producing Algae

· Origins and Cycling of N2O and CH4 in Seawater

· Bacterial and Archaeal Ammonia Oxidation

· Holocene Climate Change in Hawaii

· Open Ocean Collection of Top Pelagic Predators
