Image above shows a rayinvr velocity model colorized according to velocity. Diamonds along the top are shotpoint locations (specified in the namelist parameter file "vmed.par"). Layer numbers have been drawn within each layer (where there is room) and boundary numbers are drawn at right (where there is room). Title at bottom gives file name, vertical exaggeration, and date/time stamp.

Box at top left gives information at location of the left mouse button click:
Value (velocity in this case), X and Z coordinates, layer number and block number are given.




Image above shows a zoom in of part of the shallow part of the model. Here the vertical boundaries defining the block boundaries are drawn and depth nodes are represented by small squares colorized according to the setting of inversion switch for each node (black = 0 and blue = 1). By clicking on the color scalebar with the left mouse button, the limits of the scalebar have been changed to reflect the velocity variations in the part of the model displayed.




The image above is colored by layer ([ctrl-c] toggles this kind of coloring on/off). After typing in [L], low velocity zones are highlighted by sub-horizontal thick white lines, velocity reversals within a layer are highlighted by vertical thick white lines, and crossing boundaries are indicated by yellow Xs. In addition, the following information is spewed out:
