mrslice

mrslice (pronounced "Mr. Slice", or if you prefer, "Mrs. Lice") is an interactive program for slicing and viewing 3-D (and 2-D) FAST-formatted files. It will also work with 2-D GMT grd files (provided that x_inc = y_inc, i.e., the cell size must, as with FAST files, be square). You can also view unformatted, binary, direct-access files (such as the files used in the tomography codes of John Hole). mrslice is written in Fortran and requires the freely available, easy to install PGPLOT graphics subroutine library.

Mr. Slice is designed mainly to allow the rapid and interactive display of FAST files, without having to resort to plotting using GMT, or the somewhat crude program "zslice", which is included with the FAST distribution.
