ESF News Friday, February 16, 2007 Success!!!! Aloha Proof Module Working as Expected At 3 AM the morning of February 16, 2007, an acoustic release was fired and the ALOHA Cabled Observatory Proof Module settled to the bottom at 22* 45'N, 158* 00'W. All went pretty much as planned. The hydrophone is sampling at 96 kHz on two channels and the Digiquartz pressure sensor is operating well, with data being recorded at the AT&T Makaha Cable Station. Fred Duennebier and the engineering staff is scheduled to return later this afternoon. Come visit this site later for further information as well as pictures of the deployment.
