ESF News Thursday, February 15, 2007 Aloha Proof Module Deployment Cruise On Sunday February 11, 2007 , PI Fred Duennebier, Senior Electrical Engineer, Dave Harris, and Mechanical Engineer, Zensho Heshiki, accompanied the Aloha Proof Module on its way to deployment at Station Aloha. The Hawaii 4 fiber optic cable was cut on Monday February 12, 2007. The fiber run to the Makaha cable station and associated regenerators were tested and found to be in working order before the cable was rerouted to the Station Aloha site. Splicing of the cable to the University of Hawaii termination frame is scheduled to be completed and the connection tested by noon today.
