RET/V-P: A Research Experience for Teachers in Volcano-Petrology

Professional development for high school teachers in Hawaii

We are pleased to announce a professional development opportunity this summer, July 16-19, to be held on the UH-Manoa campus. The four-day workshop focuses on deepening fundamental concepts such as the connection between plate tectonics and volcanoes, and engaging students in geology through field trips. Further description and an application are provided the attached documents. Teachers will receive a stipend of $170/day for participation in the workshop.
