The Johnson Lab welcomes applications from post-doctoral researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students from a variety of disciplines. Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact Professor Johnson directly (zij@hawaii.edu) before applying. Prospective graduate students interested in joining the laboratory should apply through the Department of Oceanography at University of Hawaii at Manoa. Prospective students can contact Na Kama Kai, the Oceanography Department student group, for more information on UH student life. All students should consult the student expectations document to learn more about what is expected to succeed as a student in the sciences.

Please refer to the departmental guidelines for general information about applying to graduate school and for degree requirements, including course work, in the Department of Oceanography at the University of Hawaii. Please mention your interest in the Johnson lab on your application. UH undergraduate students interested in a research project should contact Professor Johnson for more information.
