04.19.2013: LPV analysis of exp24 with different resolutions (cont’d)

We compare here the LPV analysis made with the same resolution as and with four times the resolution of the model grid over the full domain (It took several days to get Fig. 2). We see how the higher resolution beautifully eliminates the noise in dQL/dt (maybe except near the western boundary and the central latitude).

The figures were plot_LPV_analysis.m using Matlab files produced by theory_test_several_cycles_script.m. These files are in RESEARCH/MODELISATION/HIM/studies/PV_and_dissipation/forced_damped_wave/exp24/ on the main disk on ipu1.
