Note that the FSLE from OSCAR has been calculated using read_OSCAR_2.m (which uses directly the NASA data center) not read_OSCAR.m (which uses the APDRC data center). There is a shift in space between filaments (probably due to an error in the timing) when we use the latter. Use read_OSCAR_2.m from now on.


Figures were made with plot_FSLE_snapshot_comparison_SSH_AVISO_OSCAR.py using unstable_manifold_08Feb2010_Hawaii_OSCAR_2.mat (Fig. 1) and in unstable_manifold_07Mar2004_Kuroshio_OSCAR.mat (Fig. 2) RESEARCH/PROJECTS/MARINE_BIOLOGY/SUBMESOSCALE_PROCESSES/FSLE/analysis/OSCAR.
