Check out the video footage from a 4 m long 6-gill shark recorded at 3,300 feet (~1,100 m) in a submarine canyon off Molokai, Hawaii. The footage was taken during a dive with the submersible PICES V in our last cruise (Sept 2006) investigating canyon and slope benthic communities off Hawaii, a HURL and EXPLORE-NOAA funded project.
