This short clip was taken during Experiment 6,
which tested the transport of a conservative tracer,
in this case fluorescein dye (hence the green color),
during active pumping. It shows the exchange of water
between the two columns. In this particular experiment,
two oscillations of a height of eleven centimeters
were generated per minute, resulting in
total transport of more than two liters of water per minute
between the two columns.
