• Petrology of the upper oceanic mantle and lower crust

Reseach Topics

• Partial melting and melt migration under mid-ocean ridges inferred from major and trace element mineral compositions of oceanic mantle rocks; cooling and uplift rate of the upper mantle and lower crust exposed along slow spreading mid-ocean ridges; tracking subduction-related fluids in arc and ridge peridotites; formation of the lower oceanic crust by reactive melt stagnation in peridotite.
