Meet the Scientists and Crew! Karen Harpp Karen Harpp is a geochemist from Colgate University, where she works with undergraduate students on a variety of research projects, including the origins and behavior of volcanoes in the Galapagos and Iceland. For some reason unclear to most people including her, she is embarking on a project with Garcia and Geist to study dike swarms in Antarctica this coming January.
