Introduction

Sunset Point, a wide point bordered by a sand beach, marks the north end of Sunset Beach. Sunset Point Beach Park, a small, undeveloped one-acre park on Makanale Street, is one of the public rights-of way to the beach among the beachfront homes on the point. Backyards, a popular surfing and windsurfing site, breaks on the shallow reef offshore.
