Introduction

Waiehu Beach Park is located north of the Waiehu Stream mouth. The beach is composed of coarse, white sand and has generally small waves at the shore making it suitable for swimmers with some experience. Wave height increases to the south and may make swimming hazardous. There is a southerly current along the beach and a rip current towards the southern end that should be avoided. The offshore reefs may be sharp and dangerous and should be approached with care. The park provides beachfront parking.
