Since the summer of 1999, the department of oceanography
has deployed directional wave buoys around the Island of O'ahu, Hawaii.
First deployed as part of a wave study project, the buoys became a very
useful tool for hindcasting local waves, and are now used by recreational
and professional users alike.
This website makes real-time data available, without error corrections, and therefore should be used with caution. For real time data downloads, data archives and quality controlled data, please refer to the
CDIP website
