Entrance Pilot Station 1300. Chief Scientist advised possibility of
remaining through 29 March depending on re-supply efforts.

Vessel completed launch of second buoy yesterday afternoon. As a result of
an apparent faulty chain link directly below the buoy, the mooring array
broke free on deployment. Buoy has been successfully recovered aboard.
Presently re-deploying in the same location with last set of anchors. Ch
Scientist has requested a return to Kaohsiung to resupply with necessities
for 3rd buoy deployment. ETA 27 March dependant on departure present
location.

Vessel proceeded to second deployment sight and completed pre-launch survey
late afternoon. Due to heavy conflict with long line fishermen, deployment
was cancelled and a new survey conducted during the night. Despite arrival
of additional long line boats in the vicinity, launch was started this
morning at 0906 with deployment expected shortly after noon.

bottom survey and deploy replacement buoy this afternoon.
