The last 24 hrs we conducted two net tows, five CTD casts, two PRR casts, three AC9/FRRF casts, and recovered the Sediment Trap array and the Gas array. All going well and as per plan (magnetometer not aboard for this cruise). We will be stopping at Pearl Harbor for fuel tomorrow morning on our way home and then returning to SNUG Harbor in the afternoon. ************************************************** KM

The last 24 hrs we conducted one PRR cast, one Go-Flo cast, and one CTD cast at Station Kahe, then transited to Station Aloha, where we deployed the Sediment Trap array and the PP array, conducted 4 CTD casts, and one net tow. 08-10 Noon Report 1200(W) June 22, 2008 Potable water on board: 5856 gals Weather: wind 080 @ 17 kts, combined sea & swell E’ly @ 07-08 ft, barometer 1020.0 steady, temp 25C, partly cloudy Last day of the KM0810 CMORE/Agouron cruise. Last 24 hrs we conducted one PRR cast and recovered Sediment Trap Array #2. We then transited to the Wave-driven Dual Pumps and recovered the two floats/pumps that were on the surface. The rest of the apparatus had broken free from each pump and was not located. KM will be returning to SNUG via the northern coastline of Kauai so the students can enjoy the beautiful Na Pali Coast. KM due to arrive at SNUG at 0800 tomorrow. The students seemed to greatly enjoy their field work and a chance to get out of the classroom! ************************************************** KM

Last 24 hrs we have conducted one PRR cast, two CTD casts, one net tow, recovered the PP array and Sediment Trap Array #1, and held a meeting to discuss the upcoming recovery attempt on the Wave-Driven Dual-Pumps. Students are excited about getting out of the classroom and out into the field. VPR tow speed is 8-10 knots, deployment and recovery at 6 knots. Currently on site investigating Single Pump and Dual Pump arrays.
