Nov 7: HURL returns from NWHI

The UH ship Ka‘imikai-o-Kanaloa and the submersible Pisces vehicles have returned from a Northwest Hawaiian Islands expedition that’s provided new insights into the marine environment in that area.

Oct 27: Stopping the attack of the red-brown algae

Over the years, a huge quantity of seaweed has washed ashore on a smelly, mile-long hot spot along the southern shore of Maui. A new federal grant will help UH researchers (Sea Grant included) discover its source, and buy some equipment to haul it away
