Travel Assistance Grants

There will be money available to award as travel assistance grants to Hawaii teams from neighbor islands participating in NOSB 2003.  Meals will be provided for Oahu schools.

Applications will be accepted after registrations have been submitted in December. To apply, use our printable form.

When figuring the cost of the trip for a team, consider the following:

• Air fare
• Lodging
• Food

Hawaii-National Ocean Sciences Bowl will provide all participants with the following food:

Friday

Dinner

Saturday

            Morning snack

          Lunch

          Dinner

Sunday

            Morning snack

Teams provide their own breakfasts and Sunday lunch.

Criteria for Evaluating Travel Assistance Grant Applications

• Cost of trip
• Money contributed by school district
• Money raised in community
• Community size
• Number of people coming
• Past participation of coach and students
