Are you looking for an excuse to hang out on the beach? Do you care about protecting Hawai'i's marine environment? If so, please consider volunteering at Hanauma Bay. The most important qualities needed to be a successful volunteer with HBEP are enthusiasm, an open-mind, and an interest in sharing information with park visitors. Currently over 100 volunteers share their time, knowledge of the preserve, and passion for protecting it with over one million visitors who travel to Hanauma Bay each year.
All volunteers must be able to attend volunteer training, meet the minimum requirements of their preferred volunteer position, and be at least 16 years of age. (Younger volunteers may be considered, if they volunteer as a team with an adult.)
