While attempts will be made to secure a MAC PC, Macintosh users are advised to bring their own laptop for their presentation. Regarding the formatting of slides, it is important to have significant color contrast between the background and text of each slide. A dark background of black or blue with bright font colors (cyan, light blue, yellow, light green) is recommended. The recommended font sizes are 20 for slide titles and sections, size 16 for text. This will ensure that participants at the rear of the conference room will be able to read the slides. For charts or graphs within a slide:
To save time between speakers it will be helpful if presentations were saved to one of the abovementioned laptops dedicated for presentations. Speakers are advised to have their presentation saved to a CD or zip disk. A way to improve transition between slides is to let someone load the files and go through each slide before your presentation begins. This will load each slide into the PowerPoint cache memory.
