Archival tagging of bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus)
aboard NOAA research vessel Townsend Cromwell in waters adjacent to Kailua-Kona,
Hawaii
In April of 1998, 25 archival tags were implanted in bigeye tuna. The tags
collect data every 128 seconds on date, time, internal temperature, external
temperature, and light levels
