FARSITE gridded weather input files are derived from MM5 forecast model outputs and updated once a day. Input variables include temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, and cloud cover. The ASCII format input files can be read directly into FARSITE and ArcView.
Gridded MM5 to FARSITE files are available for the locations below and are generated by Dr. Phil Dennison's computer code. For more information please email Dr. Charles Jones (cjones@icess.ucsb.edu)
MM5 forecasts are initialized at 00Z (1400 HST). The forecast starts at 1500 HST and ends at 1400 HST two days later.
