Pacific Climate Information System (PCIS) is a comprehensive information system developed by Chip Yu. This system gives statistical information on rainfall climatology and variation with ENSO Cycle for about 300 Pacific islands. PCIS also gives the monthly/seasonal time series for individual island or island group. Units for all values are 1/10 mm and analysis is based on daily average. To use PCIS, use following basic steps:
Select individual island/island group in the Main Menu;
Select one of six results you want (e.g. monthly/seasonal series);
You can switch between menus, and you can also check station IDs on screen.
For More Information, See PEAC"s PCIS Technical Report
NOTE: Due to security concerns on the naulu server machine, PCIS can no longer be accessed via telnet by anonymous users. Please send any requests for information to Rashed Chowdhury. No logins or passwords will be given out. We are sorry for any inconveniences as a result of this change
