REQUEST FOR CORAL REEF RESEARCH PRE-PROPOSALS
[The Hawaii Undersea Research Laboratory (HURL) operates under a grant to the University of Hawaii
from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
HURL is one of the National Undersea Research Centers that comprise NOAA's Undersea Research Program (NURP).]
The Hawai‘i Undersea Research Laboratory (HURL), a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Undersea Research Program (NURP) center, in partnership with the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program (CRCP) is soliciting research pre-proposals for coral reef research in U.S. Pacific waters for fiscal years 2009 and 2010. Proposals should contain an in situ field component, which may include standard SCUBA or advanced diving practices (e.g., saturation, mixed gases, and rebreathers). For those more familiar with HURL’s manned submersible and ROV based requests for proposals (RFP), this is a different RFP. However, in well-justified cases where these assets may significantly increase the impact of the proposed research program, funding their use will be considered (please inquire prior to submitting). Click
here to view the current RFP or contact me via telephone or mail to receive a copy. The due date for pre-proposals is Friday, January 18th, 2008.
We at HURL/NURP and the CRCP look forward to receiving your pre-proposal.
