HAWAII UNDERSEA RESEARCH LABORATORY
(NOAA's Undersea Research Center for Hawaii and the Western Pacific)
ANNOUNCES OPPORTUNITIES FOR CORAL REEF RESEARCH IN U.S. PACIFIC
WATERS IN CALENDAR YEARS 2007 & 2008.
REQUEST FOR CORAL REEF RESEARCH PRE-PROPOSALS
[The Hawaii Undersea Research Laboratory (HURL) operates under a grant to the University of Hawaii
from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
HURL is one of the National Undersea Research Centers that comprise NOAA's Undersea Research Program (NURP).]
Dear Colleague,
The Hawai‘i Undersea Research Laboratory (HURL), a National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Undersea Research Program
(NURP) center, in partnership with the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation
Program (CRCP) is soliciting research pre-proposals for coral reef
research in U.S. Pacific waters for calendar years 2007 and 2008.
Proposals should contain an in situ field component, which may include
standard SCUBA or advanced diving practices (e.g., saturation, mixed
gases, and rebreathers). For those more familiar with HURL’s
manned submersible and ROV based requests for proposals (RFP), this
is a different RFP. Click
here to view the current RFP. The due date
for pre-proposals is Dec 29, 2006.
We at HURL/NURP and the CRCP look forward to entertaining your pre-proposal.
