We have finished our work at Kahe Point so we will now transit to our main sampling site, Station ALOHA (located about 60 nautical miles north of Kahuku Point on the island of Oahu). It looks like some of our friends have decided to join us on our trip to Station ALOHA.

During our transit, an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) will determine and record the speed and direction of the ocean currents to 300 m below the ship using sound waves and the Global Positioning System.
