Sigma-theta vs. Depth (3000-5000 m)



Contoured time series of sigma-theta versus depth below 3000 m during HOT cruises. Symbols along the bottom axis indicate time of CTD casts which reached to at least 3800 m. The boundary between color and white in the figure indicates the maximum depth of CTD profiles. Sigma-theta scale is given by the color bar along the right side of the figure.
