| By invitation of the Norwegian government, the USS Hawkbill mapped the Yermak Plateau, located within the Norwegian Exclusive Economic Zone. Principal investigators for the Norwegian government was Dr. Yngve Kristofferson. The bathymetry and sidescan data are being processed by Dr. Margo Edwards of the Hawaii Mapping Research Group. Dr. Bernard Coakley (Tulane University) is processing the subbottom and gravity data. |
