High Frequency rectified data from vertical Guralp
Long-period GURALP vertical data showing Magnitude 7.0 Solomons Earthquake
Long-period GURALP vertical data showing Magnitude 7.0 Solomons Earthquake
These data from the broad-band vertical GURALP sensor are high-pass filtered at 5 Hz and rectified to show activity above the microseism peak. Each row is 1 hour long, with one day of data displayed. Spiky signals that pause occasionally are whales, long-duration (hours) signals are shipping, and short-duration (minutes) signals are earthquake T-phases.
These data from the broad-band vertical GURALP sensor are low-pass filtered at 0.09 Hz to show signals from distant earthquakes.
Joides Resolution Water gun signals are clear as the ship approaches the site.
