Types of Analysis:

Service List

We have both a Costech Instruments Elemental Combustion System coupled with a Finniganplus XP mass spectrometer and a Carlo Erba NA 2500 elemental analyzer coupled with a Finnigan Delta S mass spectrometer.  We accommodate many types of samples, such as plants, animal tissue, phytoplankton, algae (a.k.a. limu), and various sizes of glass fiber filters.  One analysis/combustion of a sample can yield both N and C quantification and isotopic compositions.

δ13C, δ15N analysis of solid samples and filters

We have in the past accepted samples for the determination of the carbon isotopic composition of methane. Due to personnel changes in the laboratory we are currently unable to provide this service.

δ13C methane (please inquire about status of this analysis)

Our instruments have the capability to determine nitrogen and oxygen isotopic compositions as well as the site preference of 15N. We commonly do not accept samples for contract analysis.
